Leh...The three alphabets seem to evoke a distant thought in mind of a person... Far away, Mountains, Cold, Adventure...
Yes, True its all this and load and loads of fun, jaw dropping sceneries, Dusty unending road, Military Trucks and atlast... Peace
We went without any meticulous preparations. In fact it was a sudden impulse arising out of a long lingering idea of adventure.
And we traveled by a bus, though that was not what we had wanted. The bus transport is not an easy one at least for people with less experience of traveling on hill roads.
The journey is awesome.. High and still higher Mountains, No vegetation, Long Winding endless road,Splintered remains of illfated vehicles lying at the bottom of mountains, the road side tents which double as restaurants and guest housesthe vast plain on the top of mauntains which stretches for some 30 Kms...........
But as you cross the Sindhu river and start nearing to the city you know that this experience is going to be Unforgettable...
